Nick Nepustil

Nick Nepustil is an associate attorney with Benjamin & Shapiro Ltd. Concentrating in personal injury law, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, wrongful death, dram shop liability, and medical malpractice.

Nick received his bachelor degree from Miami University in 2010. In 2013 he received his juris doctorate, with honors, from The Chicago-Kent College of Law. Nick was sworn into the Illinois State Bar in late 2013.

Prior to coming to Benjamin & Shapiro, Nick worked at several prominent Chicago litigation firms. While in law school, Nick co-authored an amendment to 755 ILCS 5/2-6.6 that provides recourse to the heirs of financial elder abuse victims. Nick also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in both Professional Responsibility and Legislative Advocacy. In addition, Nick served as a judicial extern for the Honorable George W. Lindberg at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Nick is an experienced and dedicated advocate to injured clients. Nick strives to understand his client’s unique personal story so that he may present their case compellingly in negotiations and at trial. Nick specializes in taking difficult cases to trial and often settles cases for greater than expected value. Nick prides himself on his ability to litigate cases other attorneys are afraid to take. Nick’s diverse legal experience allows him to develop litigation strategies that other personal injury attorneys may miss.

Nick is extremely active in the Chicago community. Nick co-founded Chicago-Kent R.A.W., which focuses on the professional development of its more than fifty young attorney members. In addition, Nick serves on the Chicago-Kent Young Alumni Council and served as Co-Legislative Liaison for the Chicago Bar Association Tort Litigation Committee. Nick also serves on the board of the “Peakness” event, which raises money to support the Partnership to Educate and Advance Kids in Chicago.
