Nick Nepustil

Nicholas Nepustil is a partner at Benjamin and Shapiro Ltd. who focuses on catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation. Nick has been recognized as a rising star by his peers because he has firmly established himself as an up and coming leader in the Chicago legal community. Nick graduated with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law after receiving his bachelor’s degree from Miami University. In law school, Nick served as a judicial extern for the Honorable George W. Lindberg at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He’s spent his entire career fighting insurance companies and corporations because he cares deeply for the people that are too often cast aside in the unending quest for profit. He’ll treat you like a family member and give you honest advice that you can rely on.

Nick is a fearless litigator who has won complex cases at the highest level. He successfully argued to the Illinois Supreme Court that the Drug Dealer Liability Act’s direct liability provision was constitutional even though it didn’t require proof of proximate cause in Wingert by Wingert v. Hradisky. In addition, he regularly assists the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association on the most complex issues facing injury victims and has submitted briefs to both the Illinois Supreme Court and Appellate Court on behalf of the ITLA Amicus Committee.

Nick’s credibility with judges and lawyers is what separates him from many of his colleagues. After taking more than twenty cases to verdict as first-chair, Nick has more trial experience than most attorneys twice his age. It’s also why he can settle many of his cases long before they get to a jury.

Nick will do everything he can to put your life back together after someone else’s carelessness rips it apart. Call today for a free consultation (312) 641-5944 or e-mail him at nnepustil@benshaplaw.com.
